With early wins over SC and Oregon with passes by Tanner
And a running game to unfurl the Cardinal’s winning banner
Even with a loss to UCLA the season was off to one of great hope
Then the roof fell in to reveal our runners injured and stopping theirs we could not
cope
Then the line walls caved in and Tanner and his replacement QB’s went down
We became the whipping team of the PAC 12 town
After a five game streak we became a team of aces
Not of wins but of losses to in win column replace
To now face the Big Game against Cal to keep the Axe and for pride
Nearing an end of a season that makes a rabid fan want to heavily imbibe
To play a Cal team that has lost 6 and won only 3
A chance for a viewing party to see a needed win for the Tree
Be not a summer fan like the summer patriots blasted by Paine
Join us at Mutts at the Bluffs for a win chance before a ending sacrifice by a visiting
Notre Dame
Still a premier place for cuisine and libations with an hour of happy hour libations
cost
Camaraderie and enjoyable times with fellow alums that will not have been lost
