If you have visited lakes or rivers recently where outdoor enthusiasts are out on the water having fun, you have probably seen people standing on and paddling surfboard-like craft. These are called Stand Up Paddleboards and gaining popularity across the country. In the spirit of creating new ways to meet and connect with DC alumni, here’s a perfect opportunity to learn the basics from a professional SUP instructor on the calm water of the C&O Canal. No prior paddling experience is necessary.
The class will meet at the Old Angler’s parking lot off MacArthur Blvd, across the street from Old Angler’s Inn. Plan to arrive early to allow time to find a parking spot as this is a popular for hikers, bikers and kayakers. Look for us at the Paddlestroke SUP truck and trailer.
So that we can guarantee space for our group, register by August 21st .
