Why Stanford On The Moon? To beat Cal, of course! Stanford On The Moon was conceived by members of the Class of 1965 and partially inspired by the Overseas Studies Program. Since its inception at the 2000 Homecoming Reunion, it has brought together professors, students and alumni in support of advancing education in the 21st Century through human research and development of the Moon and a significant lunar presence for Stanford University by the year 2015.
