Map address
Join fellow alumni to pitch in at Saint John’s Program for Real Change, a local non-profit and the largest shelter for homeless women and children in the Sacramento region. With approximately 180 women and children served daily, Saint John’s offers eight programs to support self-sufficiency and get women and children on a better path.
Stanford Young Alumni and Latino Alumni are highly encouraged to participate!
A number of opportunities for volunteers are available, including:
· Help in the warehouse: Make the donation center tidy by sorting and arranging donations.
· Guide a child: Tutor or play games with children benefitting from the shelter.
· Prepare a Meal: Come by the kitchen and help serve up a nutritious meal.
· Other tasks as needed by the center.
After a morning of volunteering, we'll have the option to grab lunch nearby to eat and socialize further.
This project welcomes children ages 12 and up, with parental supervision.
